Pampered Chef Ice Cream Dipper By Willow By Willow on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Pampered Chef Ice Cream Dipper (model #2730) is a very handy tool I have been using for several years now. It is made of aluminum, and the handle is filled with a defrosting liquid. As you take it into your hand, the warmth of your hand warms up the liquid; the warmth then goes into the dipping part, which makes scooping ice cream an easy task. How many spoons have you bent trying to serve hard, right-out-of-the-freezer ice cream?? I have bent quite a few; besides, the ice cream would stick to the spoon (as well as to regular dippers), so I'd have to somehow shake it off and try not to make a mess. Well, I don't have to worry about any of that anymore. Pampered Chef's dipper cuts into the frozen ice cream very nicely, and the newly cut out ice cream ball easily slips off the dipper without sticking.
I have read other reviews of this product that report durability problems and even leakage of the defrosting liquid. I have not experienced any of these problems. My dipper stays as good as new and serves me well.

i think every one could use a good icecream dipper. thanks.
I am like you. I have had no problem with my scooper and think its wonderful. I have had mine for over 7 years. Your not suppose to put it in the dishwasher, maybe this is what some of those people did who are having problems.
