Pampered Chef Large Grooved Cutting Board

I got this cutting board as a gift several years ago. At first I was a bit skeptical; I had always used wooden cutting boards before, and the idea of having a plastic one seemed not very practical. I thought it would slide all over my kitchen counter, and I was not sure how well it would take frequent use. All my doubts were quickly dispelled. The cutting board comes with a special pad that makes it stay firmly put, so there is no sliding. It is made of a "high-density polyethylene material" that does not adsorb moisture and smells (unlike wood). The material is very durable and does not crack or peel.

Things I like the most about this cutting board are: 1) The size. The board is large, 18 by 12 inches, but not bulky. 2) It is reversible. One side is flat, perfect for rolling out dough. The other side has a groove around the perimeter that retains juices - excellent for slicing fruit. I can cut leaky stuff like watermelon without making a mess on my counter.

This is a very high quality cutting board, definitely much better than my old wooden ones.
