Pampered Chef Large Round Stone

The Pampered Chef large round stone is more than just a regular pizza stone.While it does make a great crisp pizza, it is also good for so much more.I use mine most often to reheat fried foods or heat up frozen foods.Unlike with metal pans, the food ends up crisp rather than soggy.The large stone is 15" wide and can hold a good amount of food.One important note about these stones is you are supposed to only wash them with hot water and a scraper.Soap can take off the seasoning and could possibly soak into the stone giving your foods a soapy taste.My husband has washed ours way too many times in the dishwasher.It never got a soapy taste, but the seasoning went away.The pan gets seasoned after many uses.It looks darker and uglier, but it works better and foods stick less.One complaint I have is when the stone is full, you end up sticking your thumb in the food unless you use the rack you can buy or leave a space to grab it.
