Pampered Chef Professional Cookware 6-Piece Set

This 6-piece cookware set consists of the following:

Large 8 quart stockpot with a glass lid

Steamer insert to the stockpot

Medium covered saucepan with a glass lid

Large saut pan

My favorite and the most often used part of the set is the big stockpot with the steamer insert. The steamer works great. I steam vegetables, meat, stuffed peppers, you name it. Everything turns out soft, tender, and tasty. It gets cooked fast, and I do not have to worry about burning things. Both the steamer insert and the stockpot itself have riveted phenolic handles that remain cool no matter how hot the pot gets, so I don't have to use hotpads when moving them. I also love the glass lid that allows me to see the food while it is being cooked. The lid also fits the saut pan.

The pots are very sophisticated. The bottoms are made of "hard-anodized, heavy-gauged aluminum surface" that is said to be "harder than stainless steel." On the inside, they are glazed with nonstick coating. The coating requires the use of non-metal utensils. After several years of use, my large pots are as good as new, but the saut pan seems to have lost its non-stickiness. Since Pampered Chef offers a lifetime warranty on these items, I will probably soon send it back to be replaced (if I can find my receipt).
