Pampered Chef Santoku Knife By Mean_Queen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am not an Iron Chef by any means. I only got this knife because it was the host special and I got it at a great discount. Which is why I would only recommend this knife to professional chefs or if you get it at a great discount. The Santoku knife is supposed to be great for chopping food quickly. The dents on the knife help prevent the food from sticking to it. I do like how well this knife cuts, but unless you are a real pro in the kitchen, you won't get the full benefit of it. This knife is part of the forged cutlery line from Pampered Chef. Unlike other Pampered Chef knives, you have to buy a honing tool to sharpen it. Which makes this just even more expensive than it's worth. The knife does come with a storage cover and it has a lifetime warranty. But again, I really think to get your money's worth out of this product, you should be able to slice and dice like the chefs on the Food Network.
