Pampered Chef Smooth-Edge Can Opener is the best one of non-electric can openers I have tried. It cuts the can open so smoothly that you never have to worry about sharp edges, either on the can or on the lid. The cut is made in such a way that the lid will never fall into the can. Another thing I like is the nice built-in feature called lid gripper. With regular can openers, I have to use my fingers to remove the lid when the can is opened, which can be a little messy. This one has a lid gripper that easily opens up and gets a secure hold on the lid, allowing me to take it off with more convenience. I love that. There is also a bottle opener on the opposite side; not something I use very often, but still a nice addition to have.

The can opener is easy to clean, although it should not be washed in a dishwasher. Since it never touches food, all I have to do is rinse & dry it. I really like this helpful little fellow; it is more expensive than regular can openers, but it is worth it.
