Panaonic 6.0 Digital Phone By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My husband and I had to get a new cordless phone with an answering machine, so we decided on the Panasonic Dect 6.0 Digital. This is a very nice setup, with the base and four handsets that can be put in various locations. The range of this phone seems to be very good. My husband went outside with one handset while I was talking to him on another, and we could hear each other just fine.

It has a lot of nice features, such as talking caller ID. When the phone rings, it actually tells you who is calling, either by name or by giving the phone number. It is also expandable, you can add two more handsets to it. It has a built-in phonebook which you can customize with preset ring tones. The base of the phone and each handset have a keypad and speakerphone capabilities. It also has the capability for Call Waiting Caller ID, which requires subscription with your phone company.

The anwering machine is all digital and will record up to 18 minutes. There is 4-way conferencing, and also handset locator, which enables you to locate where you placed a handset that you can't find. The phone also features a talking alarm clock and talking battery alert. You also have night mode, which allows you to turn off certain handsets so that they won't ring and disturb your sleep.

The model number is KX-TG9344T. My husband and I have the black metallic, which is very nice-looking. The phone/answering machine also comes with a one-year limited warranty.

One feature it is lacking is that the handsets do not show the time or the date. My husband likes that feature, but it really doesn't bother me that this phone doesn't have it. I usually know the date and time without having to see it on the phone.

All in all, this cordless phone with answering machine seems to be very good so far, and comes with a lot of special features. We will see how it performs over time

Sorry about the incorrect spellings in the name Panasonic.  I type so fast that my keyboard sometimes skips letters.
