This is very user friendly right out of the box.

My favorite features are the 6X optical zoom--this is great for vacation or for your child's sporting events.Also it has a built in image stabilizer which clears up the focus when you're not steady. This is great when you're moving.

5 megapixels--which is great unless you're planning on enlarging photos to poster size! Auto focus, which I suppose is standard nowdays!Runs on 2 AA batteries; auto shut-off; 14 mb of internal memory, beyond that it records to SD memory card; 2" LCD display.You can also record a bit of video--without sound.It comes with a USB cable so you can download to your computer.It has photo viewing software.Or you can just plug the SD card into your computer.

As I mentioned, it is very user friendly.I never read any of the instruction manual and have been able to figure out most of the features!

The functionality is impressive.I love that is makes my quick snapshots look like I worked at lighting and focusing like a pro!Honestly, there's no effort involved.The camera does all the work for you.

There are even several different settings you can take advantage of to help the camera work better in a particular setting, and this makes you look even more like a genius! Imagine taking gorgeous shots of fireworks!Or artisitc portraits in low lighting.If I had to set the focus and exposure manually on shots like these, I'd miss them all! Experiment with the different settings, and you'll be surprised at what you can create!
