We bought this camera after my husband did TONS of online research (consumer reports, blogs, etc) trying to find the perfect digital camera (our daughter dropped ours in the ocean while she was getting off of our boat!)

This camera has all the bells and whistles, for our family anyhow. It is 6 MEGAPIXELS, has 12X MEGA OPTICAL ZOOM, has a Memory card, battery pack with rechargable battery, AV Cable, USB Connection, Lens Cap with string, Strap, and Lens Hood. We did buy an additional memory card for our trip to Disney, but the one it came with was fairly adequate.

The camera has many settings, but I mostly leave it in SIMPLE, as I seem to be an idiot (haha). It works well for me that way! It has settings for nighttime, portrait, sports, etc.

Overall, this camera is an excellent one for a family. I scrapbook, and my pics are very important to me. This camera meets and exceeds my needs.
