Panasonic Water Heater By digbybare on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought this water heater for college, the easier to cook ramen with. I bought it at a pretty typical Chinese Supermarket.

So far, it is pretty satisfactory. It has 3 different temperatures you can set. Unfortunately, none of them are above boiling temperature, however 208 is pretty close. I typically just leave it at 208, and haven't really found much of a use for the other two temperatures.

It takes about 10-15 minutes to heat up a full tank from room temperature, which is decent, but a faster heat up time would be nice.

The capacity is pretty good at 2.2L. I have to fill it up about every 3 to 4 bowls of ramen, and about every 2 pots of tea.

The cleaning can be a bit of an issue, as the container that holds the water is attached to the unit itself and cannot be detached for cleaning. However, there is a cleaning option which I assume just heats the water up really high and leaves it for a while to kill any bacteria.
