Panda Security Gets Them All! By ooncha on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Folks, I've tried so many anti-whatever programs and we all know how dangerous it can get out in the internets(making fun of Bush here). But recently, on my new laptop I noticed that there was a video/audio loading somewhere. I couldn't find it, i don't know what or where it is. I even went online to see if there was a solution. And I couldn't find one! It went one for a month and it really bothered me. My anti-virus didn't detect anything, I tried other anti-spyware programs. Some didn't find anything, some didn't remove it, and only one found it and successfully removed it. That is Panda Security. I found them through Yahoo Answers and tried out their Active Scan which was free, and it detect more than any of the other programs I've tried. After it removed some of the malicious files, I went to get the Internet Security pack, and did a full computer scan. It scans everything, so it'll take awhile. As it scans it'll do all the clean up work while you go do other things, and once it's done you just click done. After that I haven't had any problems! It helps me remove all those unwanted tracking cookies, and temp files that other programs don't catch!

It's very easy to use too, and it's the most active program I've seen. Everyday I would get a few notices that it had blocked or whatever something suspicious. The other programs don't really do that. So it can get annoying at time, but I guess that's because I don't really do anything to prevent that "suspicious" thing from penetrating my laptop!

I highly recommend that you at least try out their Active Scan and see what it picked up!

I too haven't heard of this before. It sounds like it is pretty effective!

I've run Panda's Active Scan many times when something feels off on my machine. Most of the time it's nothing but tracking cookies, but a few years ago it caught a major trojan and cleaned it up. If you pick up a virus and act quickly by going onto Active Scan, you often can avoid major downtime.

It sounds good! A lot of them aren't, as you point out and I've learned the hard way too. Does the full set cost much?
