Papermate Clickster Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm By Whoahsweet on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The papermate clickster is a cheap, basic mechanical pencil that gets the job done. However, most problems with the pencil stem from the grip and click design, as you're expected to grip the pencil in the same place you click the button to advance the graphite. The eraser is also hard to remove once it's gone, because unlike other mechanical pencils there is no slit down the side of the eraser to easily slide your fingernail through to remove it. Aside from that, it's a great basic pencil. I have broken a couple of mine from the 2-3 years of use but I still have 2 left from the original 6-pack I bought. The pencils are great as long as you don't have a heavy hand, which is especially important anyway if you're using 0.5mm graphite.
