Party With Mario And Friends On The Wii! By crunkyjens on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Recently my family was down visiting me on vacation in sunny Florida and my sister and I wanted to get a new game for our Wii. We both knew we wanted Mario Party 8 so that is what we got. Ever since we got a Gamecube about 2 years ago we've both fallen in love with Mario, his friends, and the parties they throw! When we got a Wii it was just a given we were going to get the game for this system as well.
Mario Party 8 for the Wii is absolutely one of the best games made. First off I just think it's so amazing you can wave the remote and it effects what your "player" does on the screen. I can't get over how neat that fact is. What a great interactive game Nintendo has come up with. I honestly don't know how they are going to top this one. Anyways, back to Mario Party!
This game comes with six new game boards, tons and tons of new mini games, different gaming modes, and tons of other extras. The game is made for 1 to 4 players, and each player can have their own Wii remote. No more passing that Wii remote now! When you are playing by yourself you can select computer players to play along with you which is very cool.
After each game that you play you earn points that can then be redeemed for other mini games, new player options, and little trinkets.
You use the remote in a wide variety of different ways to play the game including punching up to jump, twirling it to get a flag to the top of a pool before your opponents, rowing it to get you and your partner to the finish line first, throwing darts to earn points, and many more.
Mario Party 8 for the Wii is also a great game to play with the whole family, and with people of all ages. If you have the Wii and haven't checked out Mario Party yet, you are missing out on more than you can imagine!

Oh I am so dying to try this game system!!
Mario Party 8 sounds like so much fun! I might have to see if I can rent this at the local Blockbuster to give it a try.
I am hearing so much about this wii that I want one now......lol and the Mario games sounds like so much fun, thanks for sharing.
We have this game, but honestly we only played it once and really didn't care for it. Maybe we need to play it again. You do make it sound fun though.
My kids have this game and it is now their favorite version of all the Mario games.
I love Mario games, and Mario Party is great for a big group of people. I don't like the random things that take away your stars, though!
