This book was a great read; I have actually read it twice now.In the beginning it really makes you think about the value of human society, and being a science fiction book, it explores many avenues of scientific possibility that are wonderful and thrilling. It is written about the future of the earth after a deadly war and the chance to restore the planet to its former glory. It questions moral issues of the sciences in this future earth, and compells the reader to make up his or her own mind about their moral opinions.Even during the second time reading it it was hard to put down. The length of this book is perfect, not too long, but long enough to get the reader thinking about the details. It is very well written. Orson Scott Card has published a great number of fine books over the years, and this would have to be one of his best.I strongly recommend reading this book, its a great read for all science fiction lovers.
