Paul Mitchell Worked Up Hair Spray By cafn8me on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My hairstylist recommended this hairspray to me during one of my salon visits. She knows that I like to use hairspray as I style my hair, but don't like the feeling of having sticky or crunchy hair. Paul Mitchell bills this product as a hairspray with crunch-free, flexible memory, and I am happy to report that their claim is true! This product has been touted by magazines (including "Self") as a top pick for hairsprays, and once you try it, it's easy to see why. The ingredients include shine enhancers and conditioners that are derived from vegetables. The formulation helps reduce static without buildup or stickiness.

I use it to help reduce frizz and increase manageability as I style my hair, spraying a bit on each section of hair as I blowdry it. Instead of hardening and making the hair difficult to brush, as other hairsprays do, it tames the frizz and helps me get the style I love. Worked Up smells great too. It has a fresh, light scent that's not at all chemical-y. The hold lasts all day, even when I brush my hair to freshen myself up throughout the day.

The only reason I didn't give this product an overall rating of 5.0 is its price. I think that $12.99 is a bit steep for 11 ounces, no matter how great the product is. But since I don't really use much product to achieve my desired results, the 11 ounces lasts for quite a while. If you don't mind paying a bit more for your haircare products, I'd definitely recommend this one.
