Who doesn't love Paula Deen, with her down home Southern charm? She can cook like an angel, and has a million funny stories to go along with each recipe. So when I saw a home fragrance candle in a jar, by Paula Deen, at TJ Maxx, I grabbed it to take a whiff. It smelled heavenly, and was one of my most favorite scents--Peppermint Bark. I could almost eat it out of the jar! I couldn't wait to take it home, and light it up.

I took the candle along with us to the ocean, for our Christmas vacation. I had several special Christmas scented candles that I had packed, to give the beach house that Christmas fragrance. The cinnamon candle by another company was dreamy, and of course, the Mistletoe candle from Yankee Candle couldn't be beat! But the poor Paula Deen At Home candle added no fragrance to the room at all. It smelled terrific in the jar, but just had no scent strength at all in the room. How disappointing.

I will continue to burn it for looks, but I don't think I'll be buying another one. Unfortunately, I did buy another scent, at the same time that I bought this one. I'll let you know how that one turns out, in case this was just a fluke.
