Paving Edger To Accent Your Garden By Alice on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My poor husband, I think of ideas all winter for our yard and then ask him to make them a reality come spring and summer. A few years ago after building a new patio behind our house we had a couple pieces of vinyl fence left from another project he had just finished. We had about 20 inches of space between this new patio and the wood deck to our pool.

I sweetly asked if he could put these pieces of fence up against the one deck leaving a 3 ft. space in between as a pathway to the pool deck. No problem, quickly done. Now what to do with the space that was left? I wanted a garden but needed some sort of edging to keep the dirt from falling on the deck.

A trip to Lowe's and we found the perfect color match to our new patio with the 16" tan log edger block at only $1.98 ea. By the end of the day the edging was in, new dirt and peat added to the garden and flowers planted. I think the log paving edger added the perfect touch to this area. I hope you check out the pictures to see what a great job my husband did!!

You are so creative and DH is such a great sport to follow through for you:0) I still have a sliding trash can that's been waiting to be installed for over a year...I fear I will have to do it myself:0) Your garden looks great!
