I love History so being able to visit the memorial at Pearl Harbor was both very educational and interesting for me. You can go to the memorial which is on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Oahu is also the home of Honolulu and Waikiki Beach.

If you happen to be on Oahu you can go to Pearl Harbor and take a ferry to the floating museum in the middle of the Harbor. The names of the dead sailors and nurses are etched into the wall and below it you can see the sunken battleships. It is a little eerie because even though so much time has passed, you can still see oil slowly seeping to the surface.

Leis are a good idea to bring to the memorial because they are used in lieu of flowers. You can put them up by the wall etchings or throw them into the harbor.

I would certainly recommend checking this memorial out!
