Pee And Poo Dolls Teach Potty Training By kateri27 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I have an eighteen month old daughter and we are working very hard to teach her to use the big girl potty. One of the hardest things we have run into is teaching her what comes out of her body.
Admit it talking about pee and poop isn't the easiest thing to do. It's just way to funny of a concept. Here is where these fabulous stuffed dolls come in handy. They take the abstract concept of pee and poop and put them in a touchable, understandable, tangible doll.
The dolls come packaged in a set and were originally a project by Emma Megitt for her Masters of Design Thesis from Göteborg University. Both dolls are approximately six inches tall and made out of a cotton plush and stuffed with polyester fiber. They not only appeal to parents as teaching toys, but they make great conversation pieces and gifts for those friends of yours who just have not grown up yet.
After writing this review I decided to send these dolls to my friend for his 33rd birthday. he just got them in the mail yesterday and LOVED them. great gift for that boy who never quite grows up. If we didn't already have these my hubby would be getting a set for his birthday!

Okay...but aren't these dolls teaching little children that it is okay to touch pee and poop? I agree about little ones not being able to grasp the abstract though.
I'm getting this mixed message image of a toddler snuggled up with poo for bedtime. But those pee and poo years seemed looooooong. Anything to lighten the load, eh?
How funny. Hope they make things easier for you :0)
My brothers would all die laughing if I sent these to them. Too funny!
This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Interesting!
I can see it now, "Here, could you hold my Pee cause I gotta go!" Those are hilarious.
LOL! I am laughing so hard at this product! Not surprised that this product can be found at Uncommon Goods (a site I love) because this truly is an uncommon good! I am ordering these for my dad LOL!
I want this, sooo cute. Thanks for the great idea. My brother in law is turning 60 this year!!!
What a cute idea. kateri27, how do you explain to your baby about pee and poop using the dolls? Just curious, I have an 8 month old and I'm trying to gather all of the tips I can. I hope the website ships to Canada!
FUNNY! I know my 8 year old BOY would think those are hilarous! I can just see him and his friends! :)
