Perfect Accessory For A New England Winter By peytonshea02 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
We were not even into December yet and my son & I had sinus infections and my daughter had the croup. Yes, welcome to a New England winter with kids. For 3 nights in a row we were up with my daughter who was having terrible coughing fits. We were running a cold mist humidifier, but we found it gave her no relief at all. The only thing that seemed to help was the steam from running the shower. So my husband, in the middle of the night, ran up to a 24 hour CVS and on the suggestion of the pediatrician he bought the Vicks Warm Mist humidifier. The difference it made with her (and all of us) is nothing short of amazing. It is very easy to use/fill. It has been running 3 days straight and had not leaked at all. It has a little cup in the top of the steam area for the mentholated medicine. You can pull it out, fill with the liquid and put it right back in. The addition of the medicated warm mist has allowed my daughter to sleep peacefully two nights in a row. I see us running this humidifier most of the winter here! I absolutely love this product!

Wow, amazing that something that simple could help so much isn't it? I'm surprised it helped with the croup though...I thought that had to be cold. I can remember bundling my son up and taking him outside during winter when he had the croup (of course our winters down here are nothing like yours:0)
I'm glad this helps your daughter sleep, sounds like a great, relaxing, relief-providing product.
sounds great, i'll keep this in mind just case i or one of my family members needs something like this in the future.
