I was first introduced to Sandra Boynton via her line of greeting cards which were always guaranteed to bring a smile. So when I saw that she had penned a line of children's board books, I had to have them for my chidren. I first got the books individually, so I was delighted to find that they are now offered as sets because they make a perfect gift for new parents.

Boynton's Greatest Hits Volume I contains four books: Blue Hat, Green Hat; A to Z; Doggies; and Moo, Baa, LA LA LA. Volume II has Horns to Toes and In Between; The Going to Bed Book; Opposites; and (our favorite) But Not the Hippopotamus. The board books are durable and a perfect size for wee hands, and the stories are told in lilting rhymes. Each book has a learning theme presented in a way that is sure to bring giggles for both the reader and the listener. And even though my children are older now, we still pull these books off the shelf for a great trip down memory lane.
