Perfect Panini's in minutes!
By justjill onI love Panini's, so the thought of creating my own for my family was exciting!I read reviews online and decided that I would get the Hamilton Beach model that Target had on sale. It was well rated.
I like the fact that I can store it upright on it's side. This saves space in my cabinets. It also can make 4 sandwiches at once, one for each of us!
I bought some fresh Italian bread from the deli, some deli meat, cheese, and bacon and a spray bottle of Olive oil.I preheated the press as instructed and assembled the sandwiches, spraying the outside of each slice with the Olive Oil.After closing the lid, it only took 2-3 minutes to have perfect, crisp, warm Panini's!We all loved them.I continued to try different sandwich combinations, even veggie sandwiches.Sometimes I sprinkle bread dipping seasonings on the olive oil side of the sandwich. I have also used tortilla's and flat breads in the machine.I get perfect pressed Panini's each time.
The instruction booklet only contains a few simple recipes, but my mind has created so many more. My children think I could open a shop with my creations!I have premade Panini's and sent them to school with the children and work with my husband, and they have enjoyed them cold too.This purchase was well worth the $30.
I really don't need another kitchen gadget, but this one sounds fun to have and one that my family would love.
