If you're looking for a safe bed for your toddler boy to transition from the crib to a bad, the race car bed is great. It is low enough to the ground that in case of anything, your child wouldn't hurt himself. I put my son in this bed when he turned 14 months, and has never fallen out of it. It is all plastic so there are no dangerous pieces on it, and it's in the shape of a race car, so you can incorporate it well in a boy themed bedroom. You have the choice of a blue one or a red one. Also it looks very attractive for a child, so your son wouldn't be scare to transition from the crib. We bought car bedding to go with it, and my son was very proud to have that as his bed. It also fits a crib size mattress so you don't have to buy a new mattress.
