Persciption High cholesterol medication.

My husband has high cholesterol and he is under doctors care, however, it was not getting any better. The doctor changed his medication to Welchol which is a medication that is supposed to stop food from turning into bad cholesterol.

You have to take three tablets in the morning and three more in the evening. The pills are not small either. They are 625 mg. each. This medication is obtained only with a doctor's prescription.

Each tablet contains;

Colesevelam hydrochloride 625 mg. Should be stored at 77 degrees.

After taking these pills for three months we found that they did work. My husbands bad cholesterol is now down to normal. I am not sure if this will work for everyone but it is something to talk to your doctor about if you have high cholesterol. The only think that we are not sure of is that his good cholesterol is down too. I will up date the review after his next blood test. I wish everyone good luck with keeping their cholesterol in check.
