My wife and I need a way to keep our dogs in the back yard, but the landlord would not allow us to put up a fence and the price was too much; it was 1.5 acres... We checked around and finally ended up going with the PetSafe In-Ground system for our little poochies. Ther receivers are designed for stubborn or hard to train pets. We have a big boxer and a sassy little yorkie that is stubborn as anything. We liked that this system covers up to 10 acres with additional wire & flags and had 5 settings on the collars.

My dad uses this for his cow (errr, i mean dog). His dog is huge and if left to his own devices would tear everything in his yard up, including the garden my step-mom plants. So, my dad has his yard set up with one of these in-ground dog wires and within a very short time, his dog was trained to stay out of places he shouldnt' be.
I like the model on this..I too have a few stubborn dogs ;)
