Philadelphia Daily News By Rebecca Mcglynn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

There is an on-going joke in Philadelphia that “You have to be crazy to read the Philadelphia Daily News.” It is often said that this newspaper is for the less intelligent members of the population. Understandably, circulation of the rag has dropped considerably over the past couple of decades. Laced with erroneous “facts” and half-investigated stories, it is understandable why this paper's readship has dropped.

Admittedly, I only read the Philadelphia Daily News if I can't find anything else to read. Although the newspaper has been around for decades, it seems to be out of touch with its readership. Although it is seen as a local news, it very seldom features local news articles. The paper is filled with mostly “fluff” articles about how someone's lost pet has been found trapped in a gate or what is going on in California with OJ. Fortunately, there are more relevant news authorities available in Philadelphia.

On the plus side, it makes for great roughage for starting a fire for the barbeque grill.

Sad that this paper is only for making fun of it. I think that this sounds like a waste of money. Starting a fire with it for a grill? I can't imagine who writes for this paper.
