Philips 16 X 4.7 Gb Dvdr Blank Media By John Gugie on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

These Philips 16 speed DVD+R discs are the best DVD blank media that I've ever used. I have not had a single problem with these discs. I never had a writing error, as is so common with most cheaper, lower quality media.

16x speed uses all of my DVD burner's maximum 16x speed potential. A full disc is burned in less that four minutes. It's so much faster than the slower 8x speed media I used to use. Also, this media does 16x speed without write errors. Most media recommends burner at slower speed to avoid these errors but the Philips never have a problem at full speed.

These are the shiny silver discs that can be written on with permanent markers.

They in 25, 50, 100, and 200 disc cake boxes. I usually buy the 100 to save money. 200 is overkill for my use. The cake boxes are great. They're made of hard plastic, which protects the discs inside. The spindle insie keeps the discs in place. The lid locks in place with a twist. THey are the perfect storage case and have many uses after they're empty. Plus, the cases are stackable!

You can't go wrong for $28, brand name DVD media.
