Philips 7 Portable Dvd Player By Willow on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Since I have a regular DVD player and do not really travel that much, I thought I would not want a portable one. However, I was surprised at how much I grew to like Philips 7" Portable DVD Player when I got a chance to toy with it. This compact device is fun and easy to use, and the picture quality is excellent. The 7 inch screen is large enough to conveniently watch a movie and see every detail. Control buttons on both the player and the remote are basic and self-explanatory - play, stop, fast forward, rewind, etc. - something I appreciate as I am not a fan of overly complicated devices. The player can be used with headphones, in case if you want to watch a movie without bothering other people around you with the sound. In fact, there are two headphones jacks, so two people can quietly watch movies together, say, on an airplane.
The player comes with a car charger and a house charger cord. The battery lasts for 4 hours, which is usually enough to watch 2 movies without worrying about having to plug it in.
I liked this convenient little machine so much that I am considering buying one. I suppose it works best for trips, but even though I am not much of a traveler, I like the way I can easily move is around the house, sitting down to watch a movie anywhere I want or even taking it to bed with me (lazy, I know).

Ok, now I want to watch a movie in bed! Great use for a portable DVD player!
My sister in law has this and it is a life saver ! she uses it to keep the kids occupied during lengthy car trips!
Yeah, agree with you that it is very convenient , this portable DVD, for travelling or just lazing around in the house, anytime , anywhere to watch our favourite movie. Thanks for sharing your experience.
This sounds like a very nice portable dvd player. Thanks for the great information.
I think I would like one of these for the kitchen. We only have a TV in one room- the den.
