Philips Norelco Bodygroom Shaver By nightwing on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

For starters, I am still a little surprised that I even purchased this product. I rarely do any sort of hair maintenance below my neck. This product seemed inexpensive enough, and I really enjoyed the promotional video that they have on the products website - hilarious, that I gave it a shot.

I was fairly disappointed in the product. It is similar to the shavers that I used to buzz the hair on my head. You can used it without any guards to get a close shave or use one of the three included guards to keep a longer length. The product worked well for about a third of the hair, but there was always that other third that it would miss. I just couldn't get it to work as effectively as the product I use on my head. I am sure that if I spent a few hours using it I could get through to all the missed hairs, but it is not worth it to me to spend so much time.

The product is touted on being safe to use on sensitive areas, and in that respect the product is great. I used the device without the guards on sensitive areas and did not have a problem with getting nicked. The device is also water-resistant, so it can be used in the shower. I haven't used it in the shower myself.

The device is good and works well for me without the guards, but with the guards it just misses too many hairs.
