Philosophy 3 In 1: Red Velvet Cake Frosting By Laurel1 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Some of my favorite products from Philosophy are their 3-in-1 shower gel, bubble bath, and shampoo or shower gel, shampoo and conditioner products. They keep adding new fragrances to the line, from baked goods to fresh fruit to cocktails, along with seasonal favorites like Cranberry Memory or Peppermint Twist for Christmas. But two of my very favorites are Red Velvet Cake and Sweet Creamy Frosting.

This duo cost $30 for two 16 ounce bottles on QVC (and can still be found at Sephora.com for that price). They are the shower gel, bubble bath, and shampoo variety; my personal feeling is that these products aren't really adequate for a good conditioner, and I rarely use them for shampoo. They make wonderful bubbles for a self-indulgent bath, though, and great lather that leaves skin soft and lightly scented. The Red Velvet Cake is a sinfully rich chocolate concoction, and the Sweet Creamy Frosting smells just as delicious as it sounds. It doesn't take much of the product to fill the tub with bubbles, and a little lather lasts a long time on a mesh sponge.

I don't often take baths (I shower), but when I do, I want bubbles and lots of them. Philosophy's 3-in-1's do a great job at everything they do, and give you your favorite scents at the same time. The Red Velvet Cake and Sweet Creamy Frosting smell good enough to eat - but don't! Pour them in the tub, lather up, and enjoy a no-cal treat!

I think I would like using the bath product but not so much the other ones in the set. I like my shampoo and conditioner too much! These sound very yummy and I bet you get lots of compliments!!!

I love the Philosophy 3 in 1's because they feel more moisturizing than a lot of other shower gels. I have used them for shampoo on rare occasions and it was a decent shampoo, but you still need a good conditioner afterwards. A friend sent me a sample of the Red Velvet Cake and it smells really good.

I love Philosophy products, but haven't tried this one. The Red Velvet Cake shower gel sounds interesting. I like the 3-in-1 shower gels, but don't use them on my hair. Thanks for your personal insight on this product!
