Philosophy Shear Splendor Age Defying Shampoo By hlmdcm on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Philosophy is a wonderful brand but they often discontinue products without much notice, and they often don't tell you what their products actually or how to use them, instead opting for platitudes or happy manifestos where directions usually are. I ended up getting the Sheer Splendor because my usually Philosophy conditioner was out of stock. The Sheer Splendor line is unsung due to this, because it seems to be marketed for its smell (a lemon custard and a citrus scent) than its ability to make hair - even long, dry old hair - really strong. The lather does feel wonderful and the conditioners are an excellent combo. I am a die hard Fekkai fan, but I still periodically feel my hair needs the Philosophy Sheer Splendor to make it feel stronger and thicker. My hair felt clean and full for several days so I did not need to wash again for a few days, but I wanted to because the lather makes for a wonderful shampoo head massage.

I have used the Shampoo and the conditioner and got great results with each of them. They do smell lovely and the scent lasts for a while. I've moved onto other products (small etailers with custom scenting) but I still have a few samples sizes of this left for travel.
