Philosophy The Present Clear Makeup By Hlmdcm By hlmdcm on - Updated Sep 26, 2011

I have heard a lot about light diffusing and light deflecting makeup, and the reason it is so popular is it hides tint imperfections because light bounces off of it - like when light hits a mirror and obscures the reflection. A light reflecting makeup I like a lot is Philosophy the Present since it is a clear, matte gel that can be used by both women and men since it is undetectable on the skin. This is unusual since more like diffusing makeup is actually a foundation with some shimmery properties to it. Second, I like that it creates a barrier between your skin and environmental pollution, which keeps your pores clearer and helps protect the skin. The silicone helps make for a smooth surface over bumpy and wrinkled areas to create a smooth look under makeup. It can be used as a moisturizer, but I dislike that it becomes too greasy if you also apply a SPF sunscreen. This is a great product for any wrinkles or crinkles on my forehead wrinkles or around the mouth or areas that my skin breaks out and it is super in reducing the appearance of large pores. It also has an ingredient to treat your skin. I especially like that it is a barrier for your skin - I am around smoke or pollutants sometimes and this seems to keep the grime out of pores.
