Philosophy When Hope is Not Enough
By heartj1633 onThis is a deeper version of Philosophys Hope in a Jar face cream. When Hope is not Enough is targeted for night use and older skin.I use it day and night and I am in my 20's.I have oily acne prone skin and this product seems all wrong for me but it is perfect. It makes my skin perfectly soft and prevents any of the flakiness caused by my other skincare products.I have not noticed either an increase or decrease in my acne with use of this product.I tried Hope in a Jar first which irritated my skin, but have been using When Hope is not Enough for about 3 years now with no problems. It has not noticable fragrance to me.The different thing about his product is the textrue and application. The cream is very thick and the consistencyis like no other face cream I have tried. It is closest to the feel of butter. You take a very small amount and you MUST do this step-liquify it between your fingers until it turns from a white cream into a clear oi, thn apply by patting into the skin.IF you dont do this, it can kind of ball up and it doesnt moisturize as well.My only complaints are that they have increased the price and it is only a 2 ounce jar-I also wish it came packaged in anything but a jar, but it does last a long time. That leads to the second problem.Even when using up the product within a short time frame and keeping the lid tighly sealed, the texture of the cream changes towards the end of the jar.It becomes slightly yellow and much firmer, almost rubbery. It still works just as well once you emulsify it but I prefer the softer texture. So overall, the best cream I have found so far for me, but it could be improved.
