Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
By digbybare onPhoenix Wright is pretty entertaining but I'd be hesitant to call it a game. A game implies that the interactions of the player strongly influences the events of the game, and in Phoenix Wright, that isn't really true. It is by far the most linear game I've ever played. It's basically reading a book, and in fact I've seen it compared to Choose Your Own Adventure type books, but honestly, I think Choose Your Own Adventure books present more real choices. Often times you're presented with a series of choices, most of the time, any choice you make will have the same effect on the story.
The story itself isn't bad, it reads like a typical twisty court room drama. The flow of the story is great, the characters are interesting, and it feels good to just destroy the bad guy in court, but overall it doesn't feel much like a game.
