I think this leapfrog phonics fish pond is really the best for the beginners. My kids are now 4 years old and they are in their beginning stage of reading. I bought this fish pond to teach them the sounds. It helped them a lot and they are now reading few words and started trying the level 1 books. It also has two levels like beginners and the first level, which helps us to decide which one to choose from. Also we can increase and decrease the volume of the phonics pond. It also teaches us to spell the word and also the sounds of the word we type in that which is a wonderful thing which I have not seen in any other product. Another notable feature is the songs. If we press any alphabet it sings a song.This is a wonderful product
