Phunny Philosophy By TAlderson on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Philosophy can be a pretty daunting topic, especially for those without a PH.D. This book helps alleviate some of the anxiety surrounding the field by putting complex philosophical theories in terms of jokes. Each concept is explained well enough so that the reader can understand it, but it does not going into dizzying detail. And scattered throughout the book are jokes to help the reader better understand the concept, as well as providing some comic relief. They range from groaners to chucklers to side-splitters, and every single one is well-chosen to further clarify the topis discussed. The book is broken down into chapters of similar topics, ranging from religion to politics to existentialism, and it is a very easy book to skip around, as well as to read straight from cover to cover. Neophytes wil find this a great introduction to philosophy, while the already in the field will be able to laugh at the humorous twist put on their favorite theories.
