Physicians Formula Eye Definer Eye Pencil By Lorianna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This automatic eye pencil comes in several colors: gray, a couple of shades of black, and dark brown. I picked the latter. The pencil is thin, with a retractable tip and a cap on one end and a small sharpener attached to the other. It is waterproof, which is something I always look for when buying eye makeup.
When I had first tried this eye pencil, I had immediately noticed how soft it was. The tip ran smoothly over my skin, leaving a generous thick line. A bit too thick, in fact. I thought the pencil was not sharp enough, so I removed the sharpener and applied it. The tip became thinner, but almost immediately went dull again as I tried to use the pencil. This had proved to be an ongoing problem: the pencil is way too soft, it quickly gets dull and thus draws thicker lines than I'd like. I had eventually learned to make decent lines with it, but it still takes more time than usual. However, when the lines are done, the end result is good: it looks natural and lasts all day.
