Have you ever tried using one of the Kodak Kiosks that are in all the stores now? The one in the store where I work is so popular that we stopped doing photo processing at our customer service counter. We now have the Kodak Picture Maker sitting on the far end of the counter and our customers can help themselves. When they are finished they just bring the receipt up to the register, we grab their pictures from the printer which is on our side of the counter, and off they go with finished prints. So cool!
Also in our store, we have display contests. We have to take photos of our displays and send them in to corporate. So the Kodak Kiosk is super handy for that purpose also.
The Kodak Kiosk accepts several kinds of media. I can just take the XD card out of my camera, slide it into the kiosk slot, then choose whichever photos I want. Ican use the memory card that is in my new phone, too. Then I can choose whatever I want done with my pics, including size, border, special things like calendars, invitations, cards, etc. It prints right there in the store, and the quality is fine.
For regular 4x6 photos, I pay $ .29 a copy which isn't bad since I don't really need a whole lot of prints.
This is better than one hour developing. You can have your pictures printed while you do your grocery shopping. That's what I call convenient!
