Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl on DVD is the first movie in the Pirates of the CAribbean series starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly. In this movie we are introduced to eccentric pirate Captian Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp (Sweeny Todd, Sleepy Hollow) who is on a quest to regain the ship he was once captian of before is crew staged a mutany and threw him overboard. I really enjoyed this movie when I saw it it's opening weekend in the theaters, and each time I watch it I laugh at the same jokes, and the cast of characters' witty banter. I think that the movie is one of the best movies released by Disney's live action movie department in quite a while. The movie is rated PG-13 (the first movie releasd under the Disney banner that was rated more than PG), so some of the scenes might be a little bit scary for younger kids, but over all its not that frightening.
