I bought Pirates of the Caribbean thinking it would be a lot like "Sea Dogs" and "Pirates", which I both thoroughly enjoyed. It has pretty good graphics and gameplay as well as some pretty good modes like a new 1 vs 1 sword combat between people who are somewhat of heroes. The thing that differs between Pirates/Sea Dogs and Pirates of the Caribbean is that, POTC is done by level, where you do a mission and then the next one loads. One aspect of the game that I don't like and why I bought it. Pirates and Sea Dogs were so good because you were free to do what you want, challenge other pirates for their ships and proceed with missions whenever you want to. Overall the game has really good sound and graphics but is limited by how much you can do with relation to the story line. Honestly, I went back to EB and got a refund.
