Pirates Of The Carribean: Dead Man's Chest By Tifffany on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest is the second movie in the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy. This movie features all the favorite characters of the first movie (Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swan, Will Turner, Captain Barbosa) as well as some new ones. In this film Sparrow (Johnny Depp) has a debt to pay to Davey Jones, and Jones has come to collect. Sparrow promises Jones multiple souls in exchange for his, and in the meantime he tries to find Davey Jones' locker, which supposedly houses his heart and is the only way to destroy him. I thought this was an interesting follow up movie to the first Pirates blockbuster. The characters all still had the same personalities and such, but they were in a different situation which was interesting to watch. While the first movie didn't really leave unanswered questions, the second one did, ensuring that there would be a third. The only downside to this movie is that at times the plot was a bit slow, but I think that's because it was developing it a bit more and building on previous and future storylines. I also really like that it goes into the legend of Davey Jones, which is something that everyone's heard of. There were some frightening parts that might scare smaller children, but once again the violence wasn't as gory or realistic as most action movies. This was a very enjoyable movie and I recommend it if you liked the first. The DVD contains special features such as audio commentary and behind the scenes information.
