Place in Branson I will NOT Stay Again

We actually stayed here after we left our condo because we wanted to spend one extra night in Branson, Missouri. I had always wanted to stay here. C'mon it looks like a boat!! Also for $40 a night, that seemed more than reasonable. WRONG! The location of the Riverboat Inn is on the main strip in Branson and either driving or walking distance to lots of great attractions. So upon check in the people were very nice and had cute 2 cute puppies in the office.I noticed that the foundation of the motel was leaning, but it still seems sturdy (hopefully) and is probably pretty old. Well we went to our room and it was clean so we left to go to dinner. We came back and I went to get in the shower- no hot water. Even at only $40 a night there should be hot water. So I went to call the front desk and the phone did not work. UGH by this point I was mad, cold, wet, and tired so I just went to sleep. The morning rolls around and I thought I would try to take another shower- maybe the hot water was just out (?)- no hot water again. Then (and I do not blame the Riverboat for this- mostly) I spent my morning in the bathroom sick with a stomach virus while my husband packed the car. I waited in the car while he went to check out and he said those adorable little puppies pooped right in the office entrance and he almost stepped in it. It seems this place is in dire need of remodeling and new management. They definately need to check the hot water and room phones. Also if they can not potty train the pups they needed to have been left at home. I will not be going back.
