Planescape: Torment By WreathofBarbs on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Planescape: Torment is an action-RPG for the PC. Made by renowned game developers Black Isle (Who also created the hit Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series of games), Planescape is a little bit different from the rest of Black Isle's catalogue. While the game runs on the Infinity Engine and uses a Dungeons & Dragons ruleset, the game is very much so based on storyline, rather than gameplay. The story is a defining piece in the question, "Can video games be considered art?" With a word-count eclipsing every other game on the market, it is a graphic literary triumph. The combat can be frustrating, but intuitively, is almost always optional. With a haunting story that will grip you and keep your curious till the very end, this is a game with dozens of hours of gameplay locked inside and even more if you count replay value.
