I bought the Plat Station Portable, PSP, for my son so he was able to play video games while we were on the road. I thought,at first that the price was a bit high for a game system, even if it was portable. To my surprise, it was actually a pretty good value.

There is much more to a PSP than simply a portable gaming system. It has the capability to play games, watch movies that are specially formatted for it, and also the capability to connect to the internet. This last feature is one that my son absolutely loves and it is also the single feature that made me decide that this really was a valuable piece of equipment.

Another feature that I really like is the lock feature. I, as aparent, am able to put a lock code on the PSP to keep my son from going to sites on the internet, playing games, or watching movies that I do not approve of. I get to choose the rating for those things. It also comes in pretty handy when he is grounded from it! I can lock the whole thing and he has no access unless I allow it.

The multiple capabilities, and the parental lock system on the Sony Play Station Portable make this hand-held game system one that is a real value for the money. I would recommend it to parents who want their kids to have fun, but at the same time want to be sure that they are safe.
