The original PS2 came out in the year 2000, at that time pretty much every one wanted one. It weighted about 5 or 6 pounds and it was big. I have bought one of the bigger PS2 systems and it worked great and I have always had fun with it, I watched dvds on it and of course played video games on it. But In 2004 or 2005 they redesigned the PS2 to be alot slimmer, shorter and weighing less that would mean that the PS2 could now fit in the areas you wanted it to fit at before. So I decided to sell my bigger PS2 on ebay I sold it for about 70 bucks, and I just decided I had to get the slimmer version and when I did I was so surprised of how lite it was (weighs only about 1.3 pounds) because I was used to the bigger PS2 weighing alot more than this one. So this was an absolute big stand up for the PS2.

Now lets talk about the PS2 game play till this day January 7, 2009. I still have so much fun with the PS2 and still watch my dvds on it not only but that but the PS2 still is coming out with game releases most of them be really fun. So If you want a very fun game console get the PS2 slimmer version or the original version well what ever one you prefer.
