Playstation 3

I was doing research for a next-generation console and selected the Playstation 3. I have not been disappointed and love my purchase. It doubles as a Blu Ray player and mine came with Spider-Man 3 on Blu Ray to get my collection started. The graphics and sound for each of the games look incredible but are augmented even further by having a high definition television. The only complaints I have with the system are that you have to buy the hd cables separately and that it only comes with one controller. Once you finish purchasing all that, however, you've got one of the most powerful gaming consoles out and a Blu Ray disc player all in one. I was skeptical of how much better Blu Ray discs could be than regular DVDs until I saw my first one. The picture is so much clearer and the details so much deeper than regular DVDs. I love the almost 3D quality of each movie and game and would highly recommend the PS3 to anyone shopping for a video game console.
Update On May 19, 2008: There's an extensive library of exclusive games just for the PS3 and the big summer rush is about to begin!!!

My boys want one so badly, but unless they buy it, it won't happen. I think the $339.00 price is outrageous for a PS3. Even with Blu Ray included.
This makes me want to own one of these gaming systems again. :)
