Playstation 3

Having been a proud owner of a PS3 for over two years, I have noticed several things that make this system really great, and several things that could be improved.

1. Graphics- In my opinion, you will find no system with better graphics. The PS3 has notciably better graphics than its' leading competitor, the Xbox 360. The graphics really help you get engrossed in the game and add a whole other element to gaming. Some times I have to remind myself that this is a video game, and not a movie or sporting event.

2. Games- The PS3 definetely has some great games to chose from. Besides the many that are supported by both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 (which are most of them), the PS3 offers several fantastic exclusive games. The most obvious being the Uncharted series. This game is making headlines and is one of the greatest games for either the Xbox 360 or the PS3. However, there also are a select few games that aren't supported by the PS3, like the Halo series. Overall though, the PS3 offers plenty of games for anyone to enjoy.

3.Online- This may be the only category in which the PS3 is behind the Xbox 360. Despite having a large online network, it falls behind the ultimate online experience of the Xbox 360. The games sometime glitch, all though theyare few and far between. However, the one good thing about the online for the PS3 is that it's free, unlike the Xbox 360 which can run you around $50-60 a year.

4. Other- Another good thing about the PS3 is that it's not only a gaming system, but a home entertainment system. You can upload movies, pictures, and music on to the PS3, as well as surfing the internet or watching movies on the convenienent Blu-Ray DVD player. Also, in the two years in which I have owned a PS3, I have never encountered a problem with the system breaking down (unlike the Xbox 360's infamous red ring of death), and have never heard a story of it breaking down from other people.

Overall: The graphics and special features of the PS3 truly separate ot from the rest of the competition. It is a very reliable system that is conveniently priced. The added "extras" give it more bang for your buck (ie. the added Blu-Ray DVD player). I would highly recommend this system to anyone, and given the same choice of choosing between consoles, would choose the PS3 in a heartbeat!
