So you have a fancy new Playstation 3 and want to use it's Blu-ray player, but can't figure out how to control the movie with the game controller. Sony has a solution! Another controller to add to your collection.

The PS3 remote looks pretty much the same as most Blu-ray remotes would, with the exception of a Playstation button below the selection circle, as well as the usual Playstation geometry buttons. It functions the same also, Pause pauses the movie, and the colour buttons do.. well... whatever they do... (Very few Blu-rays actually use them)

This remote, although it looks and works like a normal remote is different. Instead of using IR beams to transmit, it connects to the PS3 using Bluetooth so that a line of sight is not needed. Good idea, except for those of us that already have enough remotes and wish to program its features onto another.

Completely lacking IR is the only real drawback to this remote, which otherwise works perfectly once paired with your PS3. It is quite handy for navigating the PS3 for simple things like streaming music or videos, and can turn the system on and off. A Must have for anyone who wants to use their PS3 to its full potential.
