I do not play this as much as my husband and step son do but I have played it, the graphics are excellent on this system, if we had an HD television they would be even greater. It will play the games, and any movies you have on disc/dvd, they play so much better than a DVD player will do. We just got the system so we do not have as many games as my stepson does for his playstation two that stays in his room, the playstation three stays in the living room as my stepson is not as easy on the controllers so it being so expensive it stays where he can be supervised. You can create profiles on the system and also put a parental lock/control on it so your children would not be able to play those rated r and mature games or videos which is excellent because I don't know of any other systems we have tried that allows this to be done. So if your searching for a new system this is a great one the only downfall is the price of the system itselve, other than that I highly recommend it.
