I received the playtex standard bottle set as a baby shower gift and I was so excited to try them. Before I started researching bottles I had never heard of the VentAire bottles.

Although the bottles do have a few more parts than normal they are a very nice design. The bottle is angled so that the baby doesn't suck air as the formula gets lower in the bottle. It also makes it a lot easier to make sure the baby gets all of the formula without having to tilt their heads back.

In the bottom of the bottle the cap has holes, and inside a silicone insert also has holes. All of this is to help the baby with gas. These parts let the air go out of the bottle instead of into the formula. The bottles are very sturdy and easy to hold on to.

They come with silicone nipples that have different stages (1 and 2) so that newer babies do not take in formula too fast. When cleaning the bottles it does take a little more time and luckily the bottom screws off so brushes can reach inside both ends.
